The Keeping the Memory quest in Arc Raiders is one of those missions where you expect something emotional or challenging… and instead you get the most anticlimactic 30-second task in the entire game.
But hey — free rewards are free rewards.
Here’s the full breakdown, plus the real shortcuts based on my gameplay experience.
Quest Overview

You get Keeping the Memory from Celeste.
This one must be completed in a single run, but don’t worry — it’s extremely fast.
Objectives:
- Reach the wreckage in Formical Hills
- Find the missing helmet
- Return the helmet to the memorial
That’s it. No fighting. No extraction required. No crafting. No puzzles.
How to Complete Keeping the Memory in Arc Raiders

1. Deploy to Dam Battlegrounds
Open your map and head toward Formical Hills.
The exact spot is shown in my screenshot — it’s right between the Scrap Yard and Testing Annex.
Once you reach the forested area, look for a dead Baron ARC husk (one of those big spider-like robots).
You can’t miss it.
2. Find the Helmet in the Bush

Right next to the Baron wreckage is a bush with wires leading toward it.
Inside that bush?
The missing helmet.
Just walk up and interact to pick it up.
Important:
You carry the helmet in your hands — it does not go in your inventory or safe pocket.
My reaction the first time:
“Well… here we go. No clue what to do with this, but okay…”
3. Place the Helmet on the Memorial
As soon as you pick up the helmet, a wooden stick suddenly appears in the ground nearby with an interaction prompt.
Walk up → press interact → quest done.
That’s literally it.
I honestly expected more — maybe a ceremony, maybe a cutscene, maybe enemies swarming.
But no.
Just helmet → stick → finished.
Rewards for Completing Keeping the Memory
You receive:

- 5× Simple Gun Parts
- 5× Duct Tape
- 5× Magnet
Basic materials, but useful for early weapon upgrades.
Final Thoughts
Keeping the Memory is hands-down one of the fastest quests in Arc Raiders.
If you know where to go, you can finish it in under 60 seconds.
Great for progression, but definitely makes you wonder why the devs even bothered with the setup.
