Short Overview

The Information is the “BD mission” – you meet Evelyn Parker at Lizzie’s Bar, get introduced to Judy Alvarez, and use a braindance to scout Yorinobu Arasaka’s luxury penthouse.

This mission teaches you:

  • How to scrub, pause, rewind and fast-forward braindances
  • How to use visual, audio, and thermal layers
  • How to spot the Relic’s hiding spot
  • And it gives you your first “Do I betray Dex?” temptation from Evelyn

🟧 1. Go to Lizzie’s Bar (Correct Time Window)

You can only start this properly if you visit Lizzie’s Bar between 18:00 and 6:00 (6 PM–6 AM).

Show up outside that window and the bouncers won’t let you in.

If needed, open the menu and use “Skip Time” (bottom left) to move the clock into the right range.


🟥 2. Talk to the Bouncers

At the door, two bouncers block the way.

Pick the “yeah, I’m going in” style answers. If you back out, you can always walk up again and restart the convo.

Once they let you in, head inside Lizzie’s.


🟦 3. Sit at the Bar & Ask About Evelyn

You can poke around the club a bit first and loot some consumables, but nothing major here.

To progress:

  • Sit down at the bar
  • Ask “I’m looking for Evelyn.”

Optional dialogue:

  • Ask about Lizzie
  • Ask what they serve or open the shop
  • Be a bit flirty or neutral – it doesn’t affect the mission

Soon, Evelyn Parker will appear and join you.

You can drink, flirt, or just go straight to business – all flavor, no branching yet.


🟧 4. Follow Evelyn to the VIP Room

After the bar talk:

  • Follow Evelyn down the hallway
  • Enter the VIP room when she opens it
  • Sit on the couch

This is your first proper “job interview” with her.


5. Talk to Evelyn (Dex, the Job, and the Relic)

Inside the VIP room, you discuss:

  • Your relationship with Dex
  • How much she trusts him (spoiler: not much)
  • Yorinobu Arasaka and the Relic

You can:

  • Present yourself as pro, cocky, or cautious
  • Ask about Yorinobu and why she’s doing this
  • Ask what’s on the Relic
  • Ask where Yorinobu keeps it

The important takeaway:

  • The Relic is stored in Yorinobu’s penthouse, inside a secure container
  • You’ll need to get details from the braindance she brought

When the conversation’s done, she tells you to follow her.


🟪 6. Follow Evelyn Downstairs – Meet Judy Alvarez

Head downstairs with Evelyn into Judy’s workshop.

This is your first meeting with Judy. She’s important later (especially for female V players wanting her romance), but nothing you say here locks anything in yet. You can be polite, interested, or a bit confused – it doesn’t matter for now.

Eventually, Judy sets you up in the BD chair.

Sit down when ready.


🧠 7. Braindance Tutorial – Robbery Simulation

Judy walks you through a training braindance – a store robbery scene. This is your BD sandbox to learn the tools.

Core actions you’ll perform:

  1. Play & Pause – Let the scene run, then pause where Judy tells you.
  2. Fast Forward / Rewind
    • Hold forward to zip ahead
    • Hold back to rewind to earlier segments
  3. Scan objects in the visual layer
    • Like the robber’s gun
    • Victim on the floor
    • CCTV screen
  4. Switch to audio layer
    • Scan sound sources (like the vent or entrance)
  5. Scan in the right moment
    • Hurt customer
    • Robber’s death
    • Security feed

You must:

  • Scan the gun
  • Scan a sound source
  • Scan the injured customer
  • Scan the CCTV monitor

Once Judy is satisfied you understand how to navigate layers and markers, you exit the training BD.


🟦 8. Talk to Judy & Evelyn After the Tutorial

Back in the chair, you get a bit more banter with Judy and Evelyn.

T-Bug is brought into the loop.
You then move on to the real recording – Evelyn’s memory inside Yorinobu’s penthouse.


🔍 9. Main BD Analysis – Evelyn’s Recording (The Important Part)

Now you’re in the actual scouting braindance – Evelyn’s date with Yorinobu at the Arasaka penthouse.

Your job:
Use visual, audio, and thermal layers to gather intel about:

  • Security systems
  • Yorinobu’s conversations
  • And where the Relic is stored

Let’s go layer by layer.


🟡 Optional: Scan Security Systems

Not mandatory, but useful flavor and makes you feel like a real netrunner support.

Things you can scan:

  • Elevator keypad near the entrance
  • Ceiling turret that appears later in the timeline

Both are highlighted when you’re in the visual layer and scrubbing around.


🟢 Audio Layer: Yorinobu’s Phone Call

Switch to the audio layer once Evelyn reaches the suite’s main area.

Look for a green audio marker on Yorinobu’s phone while he’s talking.

Scan it to listen in:

  • You get more context about his deal
  • T-Bug automatically pauses the recording when the important part is captured

🔵 Visual Layer: Yorinobu’s Datapad

Switch back to visual layer.

Fast-forward until:

  • Yorinobu goes into the bedroom
  • He sits on the side of the bed and takes out a datapad

Scan the datapad while it’s active.
This confirms his communication habits and gives T-Bug access patterns.


🔴 Thermal Layer: Finding the Relic

Now switch to the thermal layer (Judy introduces this as the third layer).

Rewind the BD to when:

  • Evelyn is near the bar/lounge area in the main room

Look around for heat signatures. You’re specifically hunting for something that would keep a Relic at the right temperature.

Check:

  • Around the bar
  • Walls
  • Floor near the lounge area

You should find a thermal hotspot:
A hidden floor safe / compartment in a corner behind a screen.

Scan it.
This is flagged as the Relic’s storage location.

Once you’ve:

  • Scanned the datapad
  • Listened to the phone call
  • Found the thermal signature for the Relic

…you’re basically done.

You can continue scanning for optional bits if you like, or exit the braindance.


🟧 10. Exit the BD & Talk to Judy

Pop out of the BD.

You get a short debrief with Judy:

  • She’s not thrilled about working with unknowns
  • You can reassure her or stay professional – doesn’t change the mission outcome

Then stand up and talk to Evelyn near the door.


🔻 11. Evelyn’s “Betray Dex” Proposal

This is the big character moment of the quest.

Evelyn basically suggests:

“We don’t need Dex. We can cut him out and split the score between us.”

You can:

  • Say you’ll think about it
  • Say no, you won’t screw Dex over

For now:

  • The immediate mission doesn’t branch.
  • But this choice does come up later in how Dex views you and some dialogue in The Heist.

If you want to roleplay a loyal merc:

  • Tell her you won’t betray Dex.

If you want a more cold, opportunistic V:

  • You can leave the door open with “I’ll think about it.”

Either way, the main story keeps moving.


🟥 12. Leave Judy’s Workshop & Call Dex

Head upstairs and exit the workshop.

V automatically calls Dex and gives him the rundown:

  • Penthouse layout
  • Security threats
  • Relic storage location
  • Entry plan foundations

Once the call ends:
