Where to Go: The Scrap Yard (Dam Battlegrounds)
Head to Dam Battlegrounds → Scrap Yard, located north of Formicai Outpost.
This area is packed with broken trucks, buses, containers, and debris — perfect hiding spots for the First Wave relics.
Below are the exact spots for each item.
🧭 1. First Wave Compass Location
Location: Inside a box between three massive stacked vehicles.
- Look for a group of three large trucks/containers positioned close together, forming a narrow gap.
- The compass is inside a small crate placed right in between them.
- Walk up to the crate and interact to loot the First Wave Compass.
Tip: This is the easiest one to miss because it blends into the metal around it. Use your flashlight if visibility is low.

Location: Inside a box next to two giant horizontal cylinders.
- Find the row of scrap cars and walk toward the far end.
- You’ll see two huge cylindrical tanks positioned in a cross-like formation.
- A small box sits right next to the cylinders — inside is the First Wave Tape.
Tip: The cylinders are enormous, so spotting them is much easier than spotting the actual loot box.

- From the videotape’s location, follow the rocky road downward.
