🧭 What Is “Clearer Skies” in Arc Raiders?
“Clearer Skies” is the second quest in Arc Raiders and kicks off right after you’ve finished Picking Up the Pieces.
This mission introduces you to your first real enemies — the mechanical nightmares known as ARCs. You’ll be asked to clean up a swarm of disoriented Wasps that crashed near one of the skylights and to gather sturdy materials to help repair the damage.
Or, in plain English:
“Go out, shoot some robots, grab their metal bits, and come back alive.”
You’ll once again report to Shani, your trusty trader and quest-giver.
⚔️ How to Complete the “Clearer Skies” Quest
1. Accept the Mission from Shani
Head to Shani in the Bunker and grab the quest. She’ll brief you on the situation — rogue ARCs are flying around causing chaos, and someone has to deal with it.
That someone is, of course, you.
2. Locate ARC Enemies on the Map
ARCs come in all shapes and sizes — from flying drones (Wasps and Hornets) to heavy ground units later on.
For this quest, any three ARCs will count.
💡 Tip:
If you’re new, go after Wasps first. They hover low, have light armor, and drop the materials you need without too much hassle. (See pic above).
3. Destroy 3 ARCs and Collect Their Alloys
Each ARC drops a resource called ARC Alloy upon destruction — a key crafting material in Arc Raiders.
You’ll need to grab three of them in total.
Keep an eye on your surroundings though: these things rarely fly solo, and their explosions can attract unwanted attention.
4. Extract Safely
Once you’ve got all three alloys, extract using the nearest extraction point marked on your map.
Don’t get cocky — plenty of players lie in wait near extraction zones hoping to ambush others who’ve just done the hard work.
Return to the Bunker afterward and report to Shani to complete the quest.

The rewards aren’t huge — this mission’s mostly about combat practice and learning resource collection — but still worth doing early on.
