Ready for the most thrilling guide ever?
How to get… dirt.
Yes. Dirt.

How to Get Dirt

All you need:
- A Pickaxe
- The ground
Simply mine the top surface layer of the terrain.
If you keep digging deeper in the same spot, you’ll eventually start getting:
- Stone
- Sand (depending on biome)
So if you need Dirt specifically, just skim the surface.
Different Types of Dirt
Here’s something many players overlook:
There are different dirt types depending on the biome.
For example:
- Springlands Dirt
- Revelwood Dirt
- Nomad Highlands Dirt
- (Kindlewastes) Sandstone
You might notice a pattern.
Each region has its own dirt type.
How to Farm Specific Dirt Types
If you’ve unlocked multiple Ancient Spires, you’re in luck.
Just:
- Fast travel to the biome you need
- Mine the top layer
- Farm the specific dirt type from that region
Easy access once your map is opened up.
Why Dirt Actually Matters

Early game, you probably ignored it.
Mid-game?
You’ll need it for:
- Farming
- Crafting stations
- Advanced recipes
- Seedbeds
Enshrouded rewards hoarders.
That random stack of dirt you threw away earlier?
You’ll need it later.
Gamenautica Tip
If it drops and stacks…
Keep it.
Enshrouded is not a “sell everything” game.
It’s a:
“You’ll need this 20 hours later”
kind of game.
And Dirt is one of those things.
