If you want to grow anything properly…
You’ll need Farm Soil.
And no — regular dirt won’t cut it.
Step 1 – Unlock the Farmer
Before you can craft Farm Soil, you must:
- Rescue and unlock the Farmer
- Place them at your base
No Farmer = no Farm Soil.
Step 2 – Gather Materials
To craft 10 Farm Soil, you need:
- 7 Springlands Dirt
- 3 Bonemeal
Make sure both are in your inventory before interacting with the Farmer.

7 Springlands Dirt + 3 Bonemeal → 10 Farm Soil
That’s it.
Why Farm Soil Matters
Farm Soil is required for:
- Most Seedbed recipes
- Proper farming setup
- Scaling your crop production
If you’re planning to grow Flax or other crops efficiently, you’ll need stacks of this.

Springlands Dirt might have felt useless earlier.
It’s not.
Enshrouded is a hoarder’s game.
If it stacks, you’ll need it later.
And Farm Soil is one of those “later” moments.
