Iron Ore becomes important once you reach the Nomad Highlands, but finding your first node can be a bit tricky because it requires traveling through the Shroud.
This guide will show you a reliable location near the Nomad Highlands Ancient Spire.

Location: Nomad Highlands Ancient Spire
Fast travel to the Nomad Highlands Ancient Spire.

From the spire:
- Glide northeast from the tower (see screenshot).
- Follow the Shroud path shown on the map.
- Stay on the path.
Eventually you will reach a path intersection.
At the intersection:

- Turn right
- Continue following the path
Landmarks to Watch For
While walking the path, keep an eye out for these markers.
First Landmark
You will see a large pile of Shroud Sand glowing bright orange.

If you have a Tourch Equipted and I reccomend you do, you’ll see a harder to see path to the right, take that right turn.
Second Landmark
Shortly after, you will notice:

- A smaller Shroud Sand pile
- A hidden cave entrance nearby
The cave entrance can be easy to miss, so bringing a torch helps with visibility inside the Shroud.

On the screenshot you see 2 markers:
1. Yellow glider Icon (cave enterance)
2. Gray Ore Icon (Iron ore Location within the cave)
Inside the Cave
Enter the cave and defeat the Fell enemies inside.
On the right side of the cave, you will find the Iron Ore node.

Use a Pickaxe to mine the Iron Ore.
Mark the Location for Later
You will eventually discover more Iron Ore while exploring.
It’s a good idea to mark resource locations so you can return later.
To place a marker:
- Open the map with M
- Move your cursor to the location
- Right-click
- Select Create Marker
- Choose an icon and color
Now you have a permanent resource marker for future farming.
Final Tip
This guide shows one reliable Iron Ore location, but there are more nodes across the map.
Once you start marking them, you’ll build your own Iron farming route.
