Dried Fur is required for several armor pieces and crafting recipes.
Luckily, making it is simple once you unlock the right station.
Step 1 – Unlock the Hunter
To craft Dried Fur, you must first:
- Rescue and unlock the Hunter
- This unlocks the Drying Rack
No Hunter = no Drying Rack.
Step 2 – Build a Drying Rack
Once available, place the Drying Rack at your base.
Step 3 – Gather Materials
To craft 1 Dried Fur, you need:
- 1 Animal Fur
- 3 Salt
- Craft time: 1 minute
Load it into the rack and let it process.
Where to Get Animal Fur
Fur does not grow on trees.
You get it from killing animals such as:
- Boars
- Wolves
- Other wildlife
Clear a few animal spawn areas and you’ll stack Fur quickly.
Where to Get Salt
Salt is required for the drying process.
Check the dedicated Salt guide in the hub for exact farming locations.
Quick Tip
If you need multiple Dried Fur:
- Farm a stack of Fur first
- Farm Salt in bulk
- Then queue multiple batches in the Drying Rack
