Finding three androids sounds easy on paper… until you realise half the lobby already looted your robots and left you with three cold corpses and 0% quest progress. Let’s fix that.
This guide walks you through how to complete the “In My Image” quest in Arc Raiders, where to find androids in Stella Montis, and what to watch out for so you don’t waste raids.
Quest overview – what Lance wants from you
You pick up In My Image from Lance. The quest is very straightforward on paper:
- Deploy into Stella Montis
- Find and search 3 Androids
A few important details the quest log doesn’t tell you:
- You don’t have to do it in a single raid – progress carries over between runs.
- The android must still be lootable.
- If another raider opened it already, it’s dead weight for you and doesn’t count.
- Because of this, there’s some RNG and timing involved – late spawns can screw you.
So if you drop into Stella Montis and every android looks like it’s already been tampered with, that’s normal. Annoying, but normal.
How to complete “In My Image” in Arc Raiders
1. Load into Stella Montis (preferably not too late)
Queue up Stella Montis and, if you can, avoid joining super-late raids. The earlier you get in, the higher the chance the androids are still untouched.
Once you’re in, your target area is the Medical Research Department – that’s where all three androids for this quest can be found close together.
Android locations in Stella Montis
You only need to successfully search three androids in total, and you can do it over multiple raids. Here’s a simple route that can finish the quest in one good run.
🩺 Location 1 – Medical Research main room (2 androids)
Head to the Medical Research Department:
- Enter the main medical room (the big treatment room / lab area).
- Inside this room you’ll find two androids:
- One lying near a blue wall / panel by a doorway.
- Another resting near a container / equipment on the opposite side of the room.
Walk up to each android and interact to search it.
If you can’t interact, that means another raider has already looted it and it won’t count for the quest.
🧪 Location 2 – Side room down the hall (1 android)
After you’re done in the main room:
- Leave the room and turn left into the corridor.
- Skip one room, then enter the next door.
- Inside this smaller medical room you’ll see another android on the floor to the right.
Search it, and that should be your third android – quest complete if all three were still fresh.
When the android is already looted…
Here’s the annoying bit:
- If another player looted the android first,
- You won’t see the interact prompt,
- And it won’t progress the “In My Image” quest.
If that happens:
- Keep roaming Stella Montis and check other medical / lab rooms for spare androids.
- If everything’s picked clean, extract and try again in another raid.
Progress is saved, so even 1–2 androids per run is fine.
Tip: If you’re just there for this quest, sprint straight for Medical Research at the start of the raid before looting anything else.
Rewards for completing In My Image
Once you’ve successfully searched three androids in Stella Montis, the quest auto-completes and you can enjoy:
- x5 Green Light Stick – handy for visibility and marking spots.
- x1 Looting Mk.2 augment – a loot-focused augment that makes future scavenging runs more rewarding.
Not game-breaking, but Looting Mk.2 is nice value long-term, especially if you’re grinding materials and chasing blueprints.
