Hi, I’m Remco.

GameNautica is a site I build in my spare time, between a day job and family life. It covers the kinds of games I actually play and dig into — deep RPGs, crafting games, and open-world titles with real mechanics to take apart. Right now, that means Crimson Desert and Enshrouded, with more to come as I commit to them properly.

Why this site exists

There’s no shortage of gaming guide sites. IGN, Fextralife, Game8, and others do solid work. But I noticed a pattern: big sites cover games hard during launch, rank for the early-game queries, and move on. The late-game content, the deeper mechanics, the “I’m 60 hours in and stuck on this specific thing” problems — that’s where coverage thins out.

That gap is what GameNautica tries to fill. I’d rather write one thorough guide that actually solves your problem than chase every update. If a site tells you everything about Chapter 1 and barely touches the endgame, it hasn’t really covered the game.

What you’ll find here

  • Guides and walkthroughs for specific games, written after I’ve actually played them
  • Build and playstyle breakdowns for games with depth
  • Problem-solving content — the “why isn’t this working” questions players hit partway through a game
  • Visuals and structure that make the information easy to scan and return to

What you won’t find: news, launch reviews, patch notes, or free-game roundups. Other sites do those faster and better than I can.

About me

I’m in my 40s, based in the Netherlands. I’ve been gaming for most of my life and tend to gravitate toward games where the mechanics reward patience — RPGs, survival games, titles with crafting systems. I play in the evenings after the family is settled, which means I take games slowly and often notice things that faster players miss. That’s a big part of what ends up in the guides.

On monetization

Gaming is how I unwind, but GameNautica takes real time to build and maintain. I use affiliate links occasionally — you can read the details on the Affiliate Disclosure page. The short version: if you click through and buy something, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Recommendations are based on what I’ve actually used or would use myself.
