Bandages, armor, and early upgrades
In Enshrouded, Torn Cloth is an important early-game crafting material. You’ll need it for things like bandages, armor, and some furniture — but unlike wood or stone, it can’t be crafted.
That means you’ll have to loot or fight for it.
Can You Craft Torn Cloth?

No.
Torn Cloth cannot be crafted in Enshrouded.
It must be:
- Looted from enemies
- Found in breakable objects
- Occasionally found in chests
Best Way to Get Torn Cloth (Most Reliable)
Kill Fell Enemies (Best Method)

From experience, the most consistent source of Torn Cloth is Fell enemies.

- Found in Shroud-covered areas
- Humanoid enemies that spawn frequently
- Commonly drop:
- Torn Cloth
- Runes (used to upgrade weapons)
If you’re farming Torn Cloth and also want Runes, Fell enemies are the best value targets.
⚠️ Remember:
You can only stay in the Shroud for a limited time before dying, so keep an eye on your timer.
Other Enemy Sources
Scavengers
- Often found in locations like Rookmore
- Drop:
- Torn Cloth
- Metal Scraps
Useful early on, but less consistent than Fell enemies.
Looting Buildings & Camps
You can also find Torn Cloth by breaking objects such as:
- Tents
- Beds
- Barrels
- Crates
These are commonly found in:
- Enemy camps
- Abandoned buildings
- Points of Interest
This method works, but it’s less predictable than farming enemies.
Chests (Low Chance)
- Chests can contain Torn Cloth
- Found throughout Embervale
- Drop chance is low, but still possible
Consider this a bonus, not a farming method.
Final Tip
If you specifically need Torn Cloth, head into the Shroud and farm Fell enemies. You’ll stock up on Torn Cloth and Runes at the same time, making it far more efficient than random looting.
