Brittle Shroud Flakes are a crafting material used for several recipes and for upgrading your Flame Altar to Level 6. Fortunately, they are very easy to farm once you know where to look.
Best Location: Kindlewastes Ancient Spire
Fast travel to the Kindlewastes Ancient Spire.
The Shroud surrounding the spire contains plenty of nodes that drop Brittle Shroud Flakes, making it one of the easiest places to farm them.
For clarity, you can mark the location on the map in your screenshot so players know exactly where to start farming.
What They Look Like
Brittle Shroud Flakes come from tall, mushroom-like plants growing in the Shroud.
They resemble large vertical mushrooms sticking out of the ground.
Use a Felling Axe to cut them down, then pick up the Brittle Shroud Flakes that drop on the ground.
Flame Level Requirement
Since these nodes are inside the Shroud near the Kindlewastes, make sure your Flame is upgraded enough to survive the Shroud in this area before attempting to farm them.
Otherwise the Shroud timer will drain too quickly.
What Brittle Shroud Flakes Are Used For
Brittle Shroud Flakes are used for:
- Various armor crafting recipes
- Flame Altar progression
- Other mid-to-late game crafting materials
Because they are required for Flame Altar Level 6, you will likely need to farm a fair amount of them.
