What is Enshrouded Oil?
Enshrouded Oil is a mid-to-late game crafting material in Enshrouded used for some of the most important upgrades in the game.
You’ll mainly use it for:
- Huge Magic Chests (mass storage 👀)
- Ghost Glider (optional if you craft it)
- Lightning Channel (Wizard builds)
Requirements to Unlock Enshrouded Oil
Before you can even craft it, you need to unlock a few things:
Required Unlocks:
- Alchemist unlocked
- Grinding Stones unlocked
- Laboratory unlocked
- Quest completed: “Scientific Instruments for a Laboratory”
Why You Need Grinding Stones
This is where many players get stuck.
You need Grinding Stones because:
👉 You must craft Coal Powder
And once you:
- Convert Charcoal → Coal Powder
💡 This triggers the unlock for Enshrouded Oil
